Dropdown menu theme freedom

I have created a custom menu on my Omeka site. For example, I have a main menu item called Book Chapters.

What I want to achieve is: when the user hovers over Book Chapters, a dropdown menu appears showing sub-pages like Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, etc.

How can I create these sub-pages and make them appear as a dropdown under the main Book Chapters menu item?

Do I need to modify the theme, or is there a plugin or built-in function to handle hierarchical menus in Omeka?

If you are using Omeka Classic you should be able to create the pages using the Simple Pages plugin, building parent child relationships. And the arrange them in the Navigation section of the of the Appearances section in the top right of your Administrative interface.
