Assigning Items to Simple Pages?

Hi all,

I’ve created several Simple Pages in my Omeka Classic site to organise content (e.g. book chapters or thematic sections), and I’m wondering:

Is there a way to assign specific items to Simple Pages?
When adding a new item, the only option I see is to place it in a collection, but I’d like certain documents to appear directly under their relevant Simple Page instead.

Ideally, I’d like to keep collections reserved for other organisational purposes and use Simple Pages to structure the documents related to each chapter of a book.

Simple pages is actually probably not the tool you want for this purpose. If you want to assign Items to particular pages in particular places, you probably want to use Exhibit Builder to create and lay out those pages.

Another option to get groups of items in a browse list that is not a collection is to use the Search by Metadata plugin to leverage your metadata inputs to create pages of all items that share those inputs.
