I have Omeka S 4.2.1. I am testing uploading files in WebP format but they were rejected. The error message reads: Error validating … Cannot store files with the media type “image/webp” . After the first upload failed, I reviewed the acceptable media file formats on the Admin site and saw that WebP was missing so I added it and tried again. I got the same error message. Please advise. Thank you!
You should be able to add image/webp to the list in the Settings page. You’d have to also add webp to the list of allowed extensions.
You’re sure you’re getting the exact same error message? If so I’d first double-check your entry in the settings to make sure it’s right.
