On my Debian 12 virtualbox when I follow the instructions for using the zip upgrade when I finish it shows “Site in maintenance”.
I have deleted all the files in /var/www/html including the .htaccess and replaced them with the new version. I also replaced the config, files, themes, and modules folders from 4.0.4.
Any idea what is causing this?
Are you going to “/admin” as the upgrade instructions say? It’s normal to see this “maintenance” message on the public side; you have to go to the admin where there’s a button to push to upgrade the database.
