I’m trying to set up a site using Avant Relationships, but am having some difficulty adding or modifying relationships or rules.
I have access to the Relationships plugin page and “Edit Relationships” but when I go to add a relationship type, it just creates a relationship “New” with no rules associated. This new relationship is not saved if I leave the page.
Of all the Avant plugins, AvantRelationships has the most challenging user interface. There is some documentation on editing Relationship Types and Relationship Rules.
I looked on GitHub and saw that except for some fixes for PHP deprecation errors, the plugin has not changed for many years. And it does work. Here is an example from the Southwest Harbor Public Library in Maine whichis running Omeka Classic 3.1.2.
I’m no longer actively working on the plugin, and so I can’t offer you much more in the way of assistance, but I hope this email is of some help.
Thanks for your quick reply and thanks for all your work on what looks like a fantastic plugin, the SWHPL is similar to what I’m hoping to recreate to document some local labor history.
I might try doing an installation with Omeka 3.1.2 rather than 3.2 to see if that smooths things over.
I would not revert to 3.1.2 – I just haven’t gotten around to upgrading to 3.2.
To be sure you have all the latest files, get the current files from GitHub, not the release zips because I rarely create new releases. In other words, I will fix bugs or make enhancements in the working version of a plugin, but not create a new release.
Ive done a fresh buildout, with files directly from the github and a manual install of Omeka (previous builds had been softaculous) but to no avail, still running into the same issue in the relationships page.
