Are there known issues with Omeka generating thumbnails for HEIC images (the default format for iPhone photos as of 2018-ish) added as item files? My students have run into problems- where the thumbnail should be, it just gives an HTML link to the full image. Just checking to see if anyone knows if that’s the issue or we should pursue other possibilities.
The HEIC image format is not supported by any web browsers (including Safari), so your students will need to convert/export the images to JPEG or PNG before uploading to Omeka.
