The Experience Alchemists have been working with the Chickasaw Nation and the First Americans Museum in Oklahoma City, OK to develop a publicly accessible website that will provide K-12 educators with a centralized resource for social studies curriculum created by Oklahoman Tribal nations.
The project will strengthen professional relationships amongst Tribal nations and educators in Oklahoma and will increase Tribal capacity to provide interactive educational materials online, ensuring the histories and cultures of Oklahoma’s Tribes are accurately portrayed, respected, and shared in the classroom. The current plan involves ~500 assets, mostly pdfs and image files, searchable by a variety of categories being developed by the team with our teacher advisors.
