I’m collaborating on a few Omeka projects and have noticed that items set to private still show up in the site, both in the Browse Archive and as item pages. Also, users with Contributor roles can see the private items in the admin.
Is there some other setting I need to change to prevent this?
Try viewing your site in a second browser where you are not logged in to the site - private items will show up on the public side when you are logged in.
Omeka is currently set up so that Contributor users can see private items, but cannot edit them in any way.
