I use Omeka S for a project which at the moment has 86.000 Items and see good performance (showing/editing/searching via GUI/API).
Are there already large Omeka S instances in use, which have more than say 1 million Items? And, is the performance still good?
It’s a good question. We’re always looking out for installations that test the limits of Omeka’s scalability.
I recently had a test instance containing hundreds of thousands of richly described items with media and found no reduction of performance. You can browse our directory to see if there are any larger installations.
