Why is the OHMS viewer not presenting itself when I open the Oral History in Omeka. I don’t see the Oral History video in the box. However, when I select a segment, the video appears. I want the video on the main item page for users to see. Please help!
Can you share a link that shows the problem? It could be as simple as the video being black on its first frame(s) or something like that.
Sure! Tell me if you can see this. https://texascitylibrary-oralhistory.org/items/show/78
It looks like the main item page weblink and the “segment” link are the same.
I think you didn’t make that item public.
I apologize. I have made it public. Thank you.
OK, I do see it. What’s happening is there’s just a really large amount of space under the video for some reason, so it’s scrolling out of view. If you click “access interview in full screen” then you should be able to see that the video is there, way up off the top of the screen if you scroll up.
That looks like it’s a problem with the OHMS viewer itself… you might have to check with the OHMS project on that possibly being a bug to fix in the viewer, or maybe you could update your copy of the viewer if you don’t have the latest one.
Jflatnes. Thank you! I had the viewer updated and it fixed the problem. Really appreciate your help!
