Dear All,
In Omeka Classic one could install a OAI-PMH harvester and pull in images + metadata from external repositories. In Omeka-S this is no longer the case, but how can one do the same? I mean I installed Image Server and IIF server and Universal Image Viewer but it is quite unclear where I should put the external harvester’s keys and uri’s to try doing the same. The external OAI-MPH is no IIF - standardised repository as far as I know so I don’t even know if using this setup in Omeka-S makes sense at all.
Thanks for any help.
Cor
The module Oai-Pmh Harvester is still working fine, so i don’t understand the question. And now, there is a mapper so you can harvest any oai format (still experimental).
Dear Daniel,
My inexperience, i guess. I didn’t see it in de list of plugins on the Omeka-S official site.
Since, I found it in the gitlab repositories you maintain and installed it right away.
Just one more question: can you actually use multiple harvests (different sources, with different addresses/keys)? What is described is under usage is that you can harvest different sets from the same harvest link/key. What I want to do is say harvest some sets from one harvest and then other sets from another harvest altogether (for example Europeana + some other more local stuff). Would that be possible at all?
