Hi,
I’ve been bothering the forums with lots of annoying questions and feature requests over the last year or so, so I thought you might like to see the result of all that!
Fasti Online is a database of archaeological investigations in the classical archaeology world and an academic journal to publish the results of those investigations run by the International Association for Classical Archaeology (AIAC). Last week, to coincide with AIAC’s 80th anniversary and Fasti Online’s 25th-ish birthday, we soft-launched the new website replacing the old ARK database from 2004 with a shiny new Omeka S implementation. It’s still a little rough around the edges and needs some visual polish, but it’s already a massive improvement on the old site and sets us up for a more stable and secure future.
Many thanks to everyone who’s helped me out, and especially to Jim and John for their great work on developing Omeka S and their patience with my endless questions!
Now that we’ve launched, I hope I can start contributing back some of the changes we made, especially in better support for multilingual sites.
John.
