Issue with settings between omeka.master and public version

Hello everyone,

We have an issue regarding a “mirror”. We have an omeka.master.ourinstitution version and a publicversion.ourinstitution version which is a “mirror” of this omeka.master version; the mirror being the public site. According to our Scientific Computing and Infrastructure manager, the public version is a perfect copy of the omeka.master version and it updates every 5 minutes following changes made in the admin on omeka.master.

However, we’ve noticed some issues between the omeka.master version and the mirror. On omeka.master, the BlockPlus module is installed in version 3.4.21 (which works for us as we don’t want to update Omekas for now). But on the mirror, the BlockPlus module is not installed at all. It’s the only module affected; all others are in perfect sync with the omeka.master version. Similarly, we’ve noticed that the Navigation settings don’t appear in the mirror version. According to the admin part of this mirror, we don’t have any Navigation settings, although they are indeed present on the public version of this mirror and in the admin version of omeka master.

Our Scientific Computing and Infrastructure manager has checked if there were differences in the files or problems with synchronization, but everything seems fine. Do you have any suggestions?

This would seem to be some issue specific to however the two installs are being “mirrored.” There’s no concept or feature for that within Omeka S itself, so the answer is going to depend on however this mirroring process has been set up.

Does it use the same database or is the database being mirrored as well?
