Is it secure enough for non-public items?

We want to use Omeka in a archiv project and want to set 90 percent as non-public.

Security for non-public items is very high for us and we need to prevent from the hacker attacks etc. Is the system secure enough for hiding the items?

Security is never perfect, even the NSA and the White House were hacked.

Anyway, I think Omeka S is better securized than Omeka Classic, because it is based on the last version of the Zend framework.

For your question, Omeka Classic is secure enough, metadata will not be available by public. For the files themselves, they are not secured if the visitor know their name, but they are hashed. So you may have to config your server to restrict access to files and to add a plugin to control access.
