Inputting via barcodes

Hi

How can I utilise the barcode on magazines to assist me to input a whole series of magazines into my Omeka site as opposed to having to manually input the details for each single magazine? For example; I want to create a collection for my VOGUE magazines from 1980 - current, all of which are barcoded. Can I scan the barcode somehow and the relevant data will populate the boxes

Omeka Classic does not have a plugin that offers that kind of feature. You might be able to use something like Library Thing and then export that data as a CSV for import to Omeka Classic.
