as far as I’ve understood, creating a multilingual page with Omeka Classic is tricky, so I’ve decided to create a parallel site which will be identical to the original.
The problem is the items and collections. I was wondering if there’s an easy way to transfer the items and collections of the original (Finnish) site to the parallel (English) site without having to create each item (over 400 altogether) twice. Is the Omeka API Import Plugin the answer to my problem? The metadata are all anyway in the language of the item (the items are books), so that should not be a problem.
I have understood that the API plugin is the answer, but as I still have to create the parallel site in order to test it (and this recquires some work), I thought I’d ask before testing it.
