HTML Editor drops out donate form

I am trying to insert a PayPal donate button on the from page of the Thanks, Roy theme using version 2.1.3. The button shows up in the box after the HTML window is closed. But when the change is saved it does not display on the website. The format starts with:
A form action post command - which will not save in this topic.
The code works on the about simple HTML page.
Would a newer version solve this problem?

Have you disabled HTML filtering in your security settings? That may be what’s wiping it.
