How to tweak Mirador?

Hi,

I switched from Universal Viewer to Mirador, because that has the possibility to load more than one manifest. But I need to tweak it a bit and I can’t figure out how, even by reading some of the posts about this here, sorry.

Most important issue I have is: by default Mirador is supposed to show up at the bottom of my “browse”-page which shows an overview of all the items and the search and advanced search options at the top of it. However, Mirador is loading all the manifests of the items of that browse page and apparently wants a user to either choose one to show, or to close the overview. That is confusing to a user, because he/she doesn’t expect to make a choice over there, just wants to browse through the items or start a search. So my question is: is it possible to “tell” Mirador to just “close” the list itself and wait for the user to select one or more items to show? In other words: how can I “tell” Mirador to show the list as closed by default?

Second issue is: I want Mirador to start by default in dark mode. I have seen some posts about this over here (about making changes in settings.js and mirador.min.js), but I can’t find settings.js in my setup and changing mirador.min.js isn’t that straight forward to me. So is there another way to make this happen? I have fooled around with some css overrides in css editor, but like that I seem to only be able to change the colors of the window that shows the image, so not the ones of the sidebar.

Thanks for any help,

Best regards,
Vincent
