How to add some plugins for the account that given by other

Hello,
so I want to add some plugins, but I use the omeka account given by my lecturer, not me who installed the omeka on my laptop.
I’ve been looking for tutorials, but nothing can solve my problem. Is there a solution for my problem? Please help. Thank you

Here is the documentation for installing plugins.

If your installation is on your local machine, the main Omeka directory will include a plugins directory. You’ll want to unzip your download from the plugin directory and place the resulting folder in the plugin directory.

What if the installation is not on my local machine but on my friend’s machine? Is there any different step for adding the plugin or not?
