Hiding Item Type Element?

Hello,

I have created an Item Type with a set of Elements. However for some of these Elements, we only want the info contained in them to be visible in the admin dashboard (not on the live site). Is there a way to do this?

My site is sag-ufv.ca, Omeka version 2,5.

Basically we want to create some hidden Elements for our Permanent Art Collection Item Type that we can then use for searches within the dashboard.
