We have toggled the global “Default content visibility to Private” setting to Off as a way to relieve site content editors of the burden of making everything public before publishing a Site. This has the downside of new Sites being public right away, so I’m here to ask if anyone has successfully wrestled with this issue.
With our setting, all items, item sets and sites newly created will have their visibility set to public by default, so we have to exhort site creators to toggle their site to private immediately upon creation. Instead, I’d prefer to have items and item sets public by default and sites private by default.
