Google Map API Key

Hello team. I’ve just recently installed Omeka 2.6. I added the Google Map API key to the Geolocation plugin. When I try to access the map, the loading fails (it says to check the JavaScript console but I’m not sure where that is). Geolocation - Version 2.2.6 by Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media.

My question is, there are a variety of Google Map keys. which one should I use? The one I picked does not seem to work. (I have to go back and see which one I picked but I thought it was rather vanilla map api key).

Geolocation should work with the generic API key - the large “Get a Key” button in blue towards the top of the page. Did you get one of these API keys or one of the more specific ones?

Hi Megan,
I regenerated the key and after about 3 minutes, it worked. So it’s all up and running. Not sure what happened the first time.
Thanks!
