I have an entity called “Object Image” - which has a property “schema:image” that may hold data types of Resource: Media.
I have checked “Use for resource title” - and the linked Media (uploaded image file) has a “dcterms:title” set - but when listing Object Images in the Items browser, it shows up as “[Untitled]”
How can I use the title of a Media as title for a resource?

I’d have to check back on this but I’m pretty sure the procedure that figures out what the title is specifically excludes this scenario, where the title property is a link to something else, on the theory that a setup like that was more likely to cause confusion.

Is there any proper way for creating Items which are mainly describing “some media files” - but most of these media wouldn’t have a proper “title” (except their filename)?
