It looks like since release 1.5.0 of Foundation there is a custom callout block that can be added to the resource page. I can add that block and see the placeholder text, but the associated callout block setting where I should be able to change the placeholder text does not appear in the Theme Settings page.
I found the theme.ini file and the relevant lines are commented out. I’d like to use the feature but am worried it won’t be there any more in future theme updates. Also wondering if the reason it was commented out is that there is some quirk I’m not aware of.
I added the custom callout block a little prematurely before the feature was actually available in the core. It should now work in Omeka S 4.2, so I need to do a new release that re-enables them. Once I finish some other changes for the theme, it should see a new release in the next few days.
I wanted to give a heads up that Foundation 1.5.4 for Omeka S was released a few days ago. It includes the custom callout block; I hope it works for your needs, and welcome any feedback you may have after using it.
Thank you! This has been working out great for us and we found we can change the content of the callout box depending on the value of a specific metadata field by adding a little Javascript to the HTML in the input box. (Thanks to Claude AI).
