Hey,
I have 2 tags that need to become one: one of them contains a typo. When I try to correct the typo, it gives me an error, supposedly because such tag already exists. What’s the right way to deal with this?

You can do this with batch editing: do a search for all the items with the “bad” tag (just clicking the number from the Tags screen will do this if you select Item from the Record Type dropdown), then choose to “select all X results” and Edit on the top of the results table to do a batch edit covering all those items. In the batch editor you can add the “good” tag to all those items, then go back to Tags and delete the “bad” tag.

Another possible solution (faster, once implemented) I’ve been working on: How to get rid of unused tags? And how to merge tags?
I hope somebody will help me to turn it into a plugin or, even better, a permanent change
