I know Omeka S allows for Cloud storage, but can the same be said for Omeka Classic. So is it possible to connect Classic with Cloud storage?
Omeka Classic has storage support for Amazon S3 built-in.
Other types of cloud storage would have to be supported through plugins.
What about the Omeka API? Is that also able to connect to cloud storage?
If files are uploaded through the Omeka Classic API, and the Omeka site is set to use cloud storage, the files will be stored in the cloud, the same as ones uploaded through the “normal” site admin.
I’m not sure if that answers your question.
What if I am using the API separate from the Omeka site? Like if I was only using the API requests on my own website? Would it still apply?
