Hello, I am working with Omeka Classic after having worked with Omeka S before. I am having trouble finding something like assets from Omeka S that will allow me to upload non-item images such as logos to the Omeka Classic site I am building. For context, the archive I am building the site for is a small historic church, and I want to create an “Additional Resources” page with links to the church website, their community development nonprofit’s website, and a local library that has some of the church’s records in their archives. I would like to put the logo of each of these establishments next to the text, but I cannot find a way to upload the logo images aside from creating an item. I don’t want them to be items because I don’t want logos to clutter up the “Browse” pages. Is there a way to create assets in Omeka Classic, or is that feature restricted to only Omeka S? I am using Omeka Classic version 3.2.1.
We’ve got our eye on implementing an “assets” feature like S for Omeka Classic, but one doesn’t currently exist.
There’s a plugin that people sometimes use for similar purposes called Admin Images. Otherwise you could put files directly into the theme if you have that kind of control/access.
