Our project is interested in having the ability to adjust the visibility of a WMS layer in a NeatLine exhibit from the exhibit itself, i.e., dynamically. Having this ability would mean that end-users could choose which historical overlays they would like to compare without having to decide for them in advance a stacking order. I assume this would be the kind of functionality that a widget would provide (or if I could hook into the layer visibility/base map selection widget already existing).
My questions are:

has this work been done/is this work being done elsewhere?

what variables in a given NeatLine record object might I be looking to hook into in the webfacing code to do this? I assume it would be done in JavaScript because it’s a client functionality.
