Hello Omeka Community,
I’m currently working on an Omeka.net site using the Freedom theme and am looking to enhance the user experience for viewing images. Specifically, I would like to add Lightbox functionality or something similar that allows users to click through images in a full-screen gallery with navigation arrows. Unfortunately, since I’m on Omeka.net and not a self-hosted Omeka instance, I’m limited in how I can customize the site.
I followed the instructions provided on the Omeka Classic documentation site for Adding LightBox to Omeka. I unzipped the Lightbox package but got stuck on where to upload the files since I don’t have direct access to the theme directory on Omeka.net.
I’ve also tried using the File Paginator plugin, which adds some basic pagination, but it doesn’t quite achieve the full Lightbox effect I’m aiming for. I also explored themes and plugins available on Omeka.net but couldn’t find anything that meets this need.
Can anyone suggest a way to implement this feature on Omeka.net, particularly with the Freedom theme? Are there any plugins or workarounds that could help me achieve a similar effect to Lightbox in full-screen mode? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
