does anyone know if visitor numbers to the site in Omega classic can be monitored?

I think you have to install 3rd party analytics like Google Analytics or Matomo.

I did try to use google analytics and it advised me to post a piece of code on every page but I couldn’t find a way to do this in Omega as there didn’t seem to be access to the raw html code to copy and paste anything. I tried adding it in to the tags but it didn’t work. I guess I will try Matomo, thank you

Matomo has also failed, I don’t know how to see the code of omega, do I need to download some software for that?

I’m not seeing a published plugin for Omeka Classic, but do you use omeka.net? I think you should have access to it Google Analytics

If not, I think it depends on your theme. There might be a place where you can add it or you can edit the HTML of theme itself, but you would need to access the theme files on the server.
