Is there an easy way to implement a page in Omeka (just like on the Omeka forums) where if a search doesn’t return any results, a link to search the site through Google appears?
Or, somewhat related, something like “Didn’t find what you’re looking for? Search Google” for the entered phrase - and have it search everything (like regular Google), not just the site?
That should be simple to do just by editing the theme: you have access on the results page to the query the user typed and you just need to render a link to Google or a form pointing at it. If you inspect or view source the form that appears here you’ll see the markup they’re using is very simple, and it could be simpler still if you just do it as a link rather than a form.
