Solrsearch plugin

Is there anyone here running the solrsearch plugin successfully, and whose search functionality is accessible over the open web? We are considering using it here, but I’d like to see what functionality it provides before I invest the time it to get it running. Thanks!

Our Digital Gallery uses the plugin for its search and is available at:
https://digitalgallery.bgsu.edu/

It is running a fork of the plugin which has a few bug fixes. The code for the fork is online here:
