Simple Pages install error

Following error messages received

Title: The title is already in use by another page. Please choose another.
Slug: The slug is already in use by another page. Please choose another.

How do I overcome this?

Can you give a little more context as to when you’re seeing this error? Those messages generally display if you’re trying to create a page with a title or slug which is already in use; the solution would be to come up with a new title or slug. However, your post title says “install” - are you getting this error before creating a simple page?

Have you manually altered your database at all?

You’d get this happening if Omeka thinks Simple Pages isn’t installed (it’s not in the plugins table), but the Simple Pages table actually exists in the database.

If you don’t have data in that table you’re concerned about losing, the simplest solution would be to delete the simple_pages_pages table.
