Resource Template, Data types, restrict to Items in specific Item Set

I have a Resource Template. I have a field in that Resource Template for which I have restricted its values to:

Data types → Items

(see attached pic)

However, when I am performing data entry via this Resource Template and I select that field, I get ALL Items in my Omeka-S instance to select from. We are on a shared instance with many Users/Sites/Item Sets and thousands of Items.

Is there any way for me to restrict to Items in a specific Item Set?

There is no way to do this via the resource template interface. Instead, users can filter by item set when selecting items, like so:
