For a variety of reasons, my team installed a fresh, clean version of Omeka on a sub-domain. We used the Import API to move our items from Omeka 2.1.4 to 2.7. We can’t install the Export Plugin since our version is so old. {We aren’t able to update Omeka because of some hacking to the core. So we are testing a new install on a subdomain. We will then stand up a Wordpress site on our main domain.}
In doing so, our items now have different Item ID #s since the system automatically assigns the Item ID # sequentially. So what was item # 530 in our Old Omeka site is now item #230, for example.
Is there a way to retain the original Item ID # so we keep the relative URL (/items/show/530) intact – not have to redirect to /items/show/230?
