Make Items only visible in exhibit?

Is there a way to show an item only in an exhibit, but to make it invisible in the rest of the Omeka instance (browse/collections/item pages) ?

There’s no feature for doing that: to have an item show up in the exhibit, it has to be public, and will therefore show up in the browse.

You could possibly do something with a plugin, like hiding items in a specific collection or with a specific piece of metadata from the browse by default, and “hide” them that way, though they won’t be fully hidden. You could also do something really simple like changing the link to the items browse in Navigation to add a query that hides these items.

That’s what I thought, but I wanted to check anyway. I guess I’ll follow your suggestion to solve this requirement.
