Is there any possibility to upload files associated with the items records that are added to the server (directory /files) through a batch import using the CSV import module?
I understand that what the “URL” option does is only a link to the file through that address, but that it is not uploaded to the server where Omeka S is installed, and that if the file disappears from that URL, it will no longer be there available.
Hi, actually the URL option does ingest the file into Omeka’s system, where it gets saved in its original format and has thumbnail versions generated. Map the column with the file URLs to the URL option under the “Media source” dropdown.
