How do I set a specific item from a collection as the collection's main thumbnail?

Hello,

I am trying to set my favourite item as the main thumbnail to show up when I browse the collections page (e.g. www.myomekasite.com/collections/).

Omeka sets the last uploaded item’s thumbnail as the main thumbnail of the collection. Is there any way to achieve what I want to? Is there a plugin that might be helpful or do I need to edit the code in some way?

The quickest way is to make only one item in the collection “Featured” when you edit the item, if that’s possible. Otherwise, we’d be looking at some theme customization.

I was able to put it as featured and not make it appear on the homepage via the theme options.
