Home page of multisites Omeka S installation

Hi,

I am building a test Omeka S website. I would like to use the multisites capability to bring together several parts of the same archival fonds.

The fonds is about a mathematician. I would like to have several websites such as : Bibliography, Photos, Biography, … and a home page of the Omeka S installation which will present the archival fonds and refers to the websites included in it.

  1. Is it the spirit of the multisites Omeka S feature?
  2. How can I personalize this home page? It seems I can only create static page inside a site and not for the whole Omeka S installation.

You can set a site to serve as the default for your Omeka S installation - anyone going to the url of the installation would redirect to that site. Under Settings - General there is a dropdown titled “Default Site”.

You could do this in Omeka S but it might also work in Omeka Classic, using Exhibits for the biography and photos, and a Simple Page for the bibliography (or collection, if the bibliography is made up of items)
