Deleting item in resources is not deleting in the "/file/asset/" folder

Hi

I have installed Omeka S 3.1.1 in xampp 8.1.2 for linux and everything works but I have a problem when deleting resources, the database reference is deleted but it remains in the" /files/asset/" folder, it is not deleted, is there a way to delete the files so that they do not consume unnecessary space?

What kind of resources are you deleting, like, items?

Assets aren’t tied to a single item, so deleting an item that uses one doesn’t delete the asset. There’s an “Assets” section of the nav where you can delete assets specifically, though.
