Controlled Vocabulary with translation

Hi,

another implementation question from me: We have German and international project partners. People entering data will either speak German or English so we need the backend in both languages.

We use controlled vocabulary. As far as I can see lists defined using the module Omeka S - Custom Vocab are monolingual. Is that correct?

Is it somehow possible to define a controlled vocabulary with an English and a German translation for every term? It should show the German terms when using the backend in German and the English terms when switching to English. Is this doable?

This is not possible. You could create two identical vocabularies: one in English and the other in German; and, when editing the resource, select the term in both languages.

Thanks for the reply and for confirming what I’ve suspected. Maybe I’ll just put the German and the English term in each entry separated by a slash.
