Adding custom fields to a Site

I’m sure this is a pretty newbie question, but we’re trying to add custom fields to a Site, such as a cover image or a category in addition to Title, Slug and Description.

Is there a way to do this within Omeka?

There’s no built-in way to add custom fields… a module could do this in a few ways, with the simplest being the “options” system which allows for storage of site-specific data (it’s where site settings are stored, for example).
