addElement, how to change width (layout columns)

Hi everyone.

I was wondering whether there’s a chance to instruct addElement function on how many layout columns the element’s components are spanning over.
It seems that, by default, labels are taking 2 columns, and descriptions / element fields are taking 5 columns.
I would like to change those amounts, if possible.

I think this stuff is pretty much just baked into the markup there, without configurability. You could just override the styles those classes provide, though.
